John Hancock Asset Management has added to the line-up of managers on two mutual funds with a combined assets of $11.2 billion.
Chapman joined the firm in 2007 as a risk analyst. He primarily works in fund management and research of global sovereign debt and currencies.
The John Hancock Income fund has returned 6.5% over a three year period, in comparison to the average Multi-sector Income fund, which returned 9.3 %.
The John Hancock Strategic Income Opportunities fund, which is in the same sector category, has done slightly better than the average, returning 9.9% over a three year period.
A John Hancock spokeswoman could not be reached for comment in time for publication.
