UBS Wealth Management Americas head of advisory and planning has left the firm, Citywire can reveal.
Jeff Miller had been in the role since September 2014. His departure follows a reorganization and renaming earlier this year of the unit within which he worked.
In March that unit, previously called Wealth Management Americas Advice and Solutions, was renamed Investment Platforms and Solutions (IPS) as part of a reorganization announced by UBS Americas head Tom Naratil and global head Jürg Zeltner.
The IPS division is headed by Jason Chandler and includes the firm’s advisory, strategic planning and business execution divisions, which had been led by Miller and Filippo Ilardi respectively.
The reorganization saw Miller reporting directly into Chandler, but his day-to-day position did not change.
Miller’s role has now been cut due to a further reorganization of the IPS group and he will not be replaced.
A spokesman for UBS declined to comment.
Miller had been with UBS since 2014 and was president of Knuu Investment Solutions prior to that.
He also held the role of president and group executive of Mercer Consulting from 2005 to 2013.
