US Trust, Bank of America’s private wealth management unit, has made five hires to boost its offices in California, Illinois and North Carolina.
In California, Yukio Johnson joined the Walnut Creek office as a private client advisor from Union Bank where he was a private banker.
In the Golden State, US Trust also hired Daniel Kay as a private client advisor for its Los Angeles office. He was previously a private banker at Deutsche Bank National Trust Company.
In Illinois, Kelly Demers, who was previously a wealth management mortgage banker at BNY Mellon, has joined the Chicago office as a private client advisor.
In North Carolina, the firm hired Dillon Harris and Ellen Rogers Wall, both from from Wells Fargo for its Raleigh office, which they joined as portfolio manager and senior trust officer, respectively.
At Wells Fargo Harris was a senior investment strategist and Rogers Wall was a senior trust administrator.
Earlier in September, SunTrust Private Wealth Management poached two wealth management professionals from US Trust to staff its newly launched Manhattan-based Rockefeller Center office.
The firm hired Larry Kaplow as a wealth advisor after he had spent 17 years at US Trust, where he was most recently a client advisor who led a US Trust wealth management team in New York.
It also hired Bob Zimmerman who had a 20-year career at US Trust as a portfolio manager.
