The Worldwide Health Sciences fund was previously managed on a sub-advised basis by Sam Isaly, along with Sven Borho, Geoffrey Hsu, Richard Klamm, and Trevor Polischuk, of healthcare specialist OrbiMed.
Due to increased institutional inflows into other strategies it runs, OrbiMed has chosen to stop providing investment management services to the Eaton Vance fund but will provide research services for an extended period of time instead.
Eaton Vance Management Limited, an affiliate of Eaton Vance, has become a sub-adviser on the fund and now provides day-to-day management responsibilities, with Jason Kritzer and Samantha Pandolfi named as managers.
The fund’s strategy remains the same.
June Lui remains as lead manager on the fund and the strategy remains unchanged.
'We are confident we will have a seamless transition,' said an Eaton Vance spokeswoman.
Eaton Vance and its affiliates manged $325.6 billion in assets as of June 30 2016.
