Texas-born Yvette Klevan obtained her bachelor degree in mechanical engineering route to business from the University of Texas and she holds an MBA in finance and management information systems from the University of Houston. She has thirty years of industry experience, of which twenty are in portfolio management. Following periods at Aramco Services Company, Chase Manhattan Bank and Bank of America, Yvette joined Offitbank as a senior portfolio manager. In 2002, she moved to Lazard and now heads up the global fixed income team, where she applies a ‘global core plus’ investment style to portfolio management, focusing on top-down global market trends in concert with bottom-up credit analysis. Through her active management strategy and relative value approach, she aims to generate consistent returns through all market environments. Currency and non-deliverable forwards are used for hedging and as a source of incremental return, and Yvette currently views bonds in fiscally resilient countries as favourable.
