John Pavese, who left Bank of America Merrill Lynch earlier this year, has joined New York Life Investments as head of global relationship management.
Pavese was head of asset management relationships within Merrill Lynch’s Investment Solutions Group. Last month, the firm named Ninon Marapachi to replace him. The role involves aligning Merrill Lynch’s asset management relationships with its wealth management strategy.
In his new role at New York Life, Pavese will be based in New York and will report to Jac McLean, head of US distribution at the firm.
In the role, he will oversee the firm’s client relationships across third-party retail and intermediary channels, ensuring New York Life’s programs are tailored to the client needs.
‘John not only brings an outstanding track record of developing and maintaining relationships across complex client organizations, but he also possesses the experience necessary to provide the vision, strategic direction, and holistic solution-based approach to our clients across their organizations,’ said McLean.
Before joining Merrill Lynch, Pavese was a corporate vice president and national relationship product manager at UBS Financial Services with the Mutual Funds Consulting Services Group.
