Wilshire Consulting has hired a vice president of responsible investing and consulting.
Daniel Ingram has joined the firm to help build its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and socially responsible investing (SRI) capabilities.
In his new role, he has input into how ESG managers are evaluated and also consults Wilshire’s advisory clients and outsourced CIO clients on ESG and SRI implementation.
He reports to Andrew Junkin, president of Wilshire Consulting and Steve Foresti, chief investment officer of Wilshire Consulting.
Most recently, Ingram was head of responsible investing for BT Pension Scheme, the UK’s largest corporate retirement plan, where he advised the trustee’s board on incorporating ESG factors into manager selection and due diligence.
Prior to this he worked as a senior corporate governance analyst at Hermes Investment Management.
‘Daniel’s deep understanding of responsible investment best practices, particularly in Europe, will help our clients navigate this exciting and often challenging space,’ said Junkin.
Wilshire Consulting is the institutional advisory and outsourced CIO segment of Wilshire Associates, which has approximately $7 trillion assets under management.
Earlier this month, Newport-beach based Beacon Pointe Advisors hired Stephen Marshall, former asset allocation head of Wilshire Associates, as a director of its investment research department.
