RIA financial planning software provider eMoney Advisor is adding a tool from BlackRock aimed at helping advisors manage retirement accounts.
The firm will integrate BlackRock’s iRetire investment framework into its platform, a feature that will be available to its advisors on Tuesday, December 11.
iRetire gives advisors access to a range of BlackRock model portfolios, as well as a range of comprehensive financial planning tools designed for retirement savers. It allows clients to visualize their retirement income based on their current income and savings and assess how lifestyle choices such as working longer affect their future.
‘Our new integration with BlackRock’s iRetire produces a more transparent and streamlined retirement planning experience for both advisors and their clients, increasing operational efficiency and facilitating stronger conversations about financial wellness during retirement,’ eMoney head of product Jess Liberi said in a statement.
eMoney said that advisors will be able to access the existing platform and iRetire through a single sign-on process. The firm works with around 50,000 advisors.
Fidelity Investments bought eMoney Advisor in 2015, for what the Philadelphia Inquirer reported at the time was a $250 million price tag.
